Paris was a gay ol' time... literally and figuratively. I left from London by coach which was fun as the bus was full of all kinds of characters. We went to France via the chunnel, and while going through the French customs one passenger hid in the toilet and smoked a cigarette before being briefly detained by the custom kontrol officers. Great start. After 9 hours on the bus, and another hour on the Paris metro I was at my hostel and ready to rock. Unfortunately it took roughly 24 hours to make direct contact with Will Soule who was staying on the other side of town and claimed I gave him the wrong phone number (lies). This gave me plenty of time to explore the city on my own which was cool as I just kind of followed the crowds and saw most of the big sites by foot the first day. Once me and Will met up we did the Louvre, Notre Dame, Arch de Triumph, and other typical Parisian things. We also ate at a KFC, fended of gypsies, ate at McDonalds, spent happy hour at a gay bar, and ate crepes while watching creepy mime street performers. While waiting for Will one morning I also went through a massive Andy Warhol exhibit which was very interesting to see the works of such an innovative dude. The museums were great in Paris because me and Will got in for free by showing our European student cards saving us lots of Euros. During the trip I acquired three poodles, 4 berets, and learned that they aren't actually named Freedom Fries. A great cultural exchange. You can see my paris video further down my blog, and heres some stupid pictures of me at the louvre.
